Claiming & Verification
After clicking "Claim this listing," Ostrich verifies that you actually represent the vendor. We offer three verification methods. Choose the one that's fastest for you — all are equally trustworthy.
If you signed up to Ostrich with an email that matches the vendor's primary domain — for example, you@acme.com and the listing is for Acme Inc — verification is automatic and instantaneous. The system confirms the match and activates your vendor dashboard immediately. This is the fastest path.
Add a specially formatted TXT record to your domain's DNS. The value is provided by Ostrich during the claim flow. Once the record propagates (usually under an hour, but up to 48 hours for slow DNS providers), Ostrich automatically detects it and approves your claim. This method works regardless of which email you used to sign up, and is preferred for teams where not everyone has company email addresses.
If DNS and email methods aren't available, submit evidence of your role: a LinkedIn profile, company directory listing, business card, or an organizational chart showing your position. The Ostrich trust team reviews submissions carefully and typically approves within 2–3 business days. This is the only path for agencies or consultants claiming on behalf of a vendor client. Include a brief note explaining your relationship to the company.
If your team member claimed the listing and has since left, or if there's a dispute over who should control it, email support@ostrichintel.com with proof of your role. We handle claim transfers and disputes carefully to protect vendor control.
Questions during verification? Email support@ostrichintel.com and reference your claim ID (sent in the verification email).
