Reviews & Ratings
Reviews on Ostrich are structured — not free-form essays. Each review asks you to rate seven dimensions, write a summary, and answer a short set of context questions. The structure makes reviews more comparable and keeps responses actionable for both buyers and vendors.
You must have used the product in a professional capacity. Ostrich shows your job title and company on submitted reviews (never your name unless you opt in). If you currently work at the vendor you're reviewing, you cannot submit a review for that product — the form will block submission.
Navigate to any vendor profile and click "Leave a review." You'll rate each dimension on a 1–10 scale, write a minimum 75-word summary covering what the product does well and where it falls short, and answer optional context questions about company size, use case, and contract length. The entire process takes roughly five minutes.
Reviews submitted by verified professional profiles (complete tech stack, company, and role) display a checkmark badge. This signals to vendors and other buyers that you're an authenticated user with skin in the game, not a random internet opinion. Verified reviews carry more weight in score calculations.
Once published, your review contributes to the vendor's overall score and dimension breakdowns. See Understanding Dimension Scores for how scores are weighted.
